This is a performance piece written and staged for the young children of the Walthamstow Tamil Sangam’s Tamil School. The play portrays the family lifestyle, child-rearing practices, and materialistic behaviors of our Tamil community living in diaspora countries. The children of the school participated in this performance and acted exceptionally well.

This stage production depicts the emotions, excitement, preparations, expectations, and deceptions of parents and grandparents in the homeland as they await their children and grandchildren from the diaspora, who are visiting during their holidays.

This poetry, musical, and theatrical performance was originally staged at the Walthamstow Assembly Hall on Maaveerar Day and received great acclaim from Thalapathy Kittu. At his request, it was performed a second time and has been staged several times since.
