This is a play written, directed, and staged by the writer Pulavar Sivanathan (Pankayamanalan). It focuses on the emotional and moral breakdown of the Tamil community, both in their homeland and in the diaspora, during the 1980s and the years that followed.
The play addresses how the freedom struggle’s ideological conflicts, leadership disputes, and divisions led to internal conflicts within the community. It takes the life-altering experiences of the young people who were transformed into warriors by a wave of emotional fervor, disgust, hatred, and a sense of alienation, as its central theme.
