This is a play written and directed by Pankayamanalan, which has been staged on multiple occasions. The central theme of the play is the anguished cry of an elderly man who, unable to bear the separation from his homeland, is wasting away. The play was initially staged under the title “Kaatru” (Wind).
In the beginning, actors Sreepalan, Meghanathan, and Sulo performed in the play. Later, Udayanan and Parimalan also acted in it. The play was also broadcast on IBC Tamil Radio, with Mrs. Raveendran and Sivaranjith performing the roles.
An attempt was made to turn this play into a short film, but it was not completed. During this attempt, Udayanan, Tharvalingam, and Ranjani Anandasayanan acted in the film, and the author and Babu also participated in the shooting.
